From 1990 to 1995
During the first few years that I was photographing, I spent a great deal of time gaining access to buildings that I admired. I had fallen in love with architectural history while in college, and was very keen on trying to record images of these buildings.
When learning about the history of photography, I felt a particularly strong kinship with some of the photographers from the Group F/64 period. As a result, when photographing the landscape, I made a few attempts at framing larger views of my subjects that gave a better sense of what the subjects full environment was like. However, I feel like my best work has been made by isolating details of my subjects.
