In 2000, I traveled to White Sands for a period of rest and was able to continue photographing one of my favorite types of subjects, white objects that aren't rendered as white on film because of the wonders of color temperature and photography. I love the way photography shows the color and contrast characteristics of an image that our mind automatically corrects.
